Leon Raskin is a Director of Global Epidemiology in Pharmacovigilance & Patient Safety at Abbvie. He leads Disease Epidemiology and Forecasting Team (DEFT), which provides epidemiology insights including COVID-19 Epidemiology Forecast. He has decades of experience in epidemiology and genetics, both as an academic scientist at Vanderbilt University and as a real-world data researcher in pharmaceutical industry supporting all stages of drug development. Leon holds MSc in Human Genetics from Tel Aviv University, MBA from California Lutheran University and PhD in Epidemiology from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
